Cleveland Indians All-Time Worst Sports Logos

1. Cleveland Indians 1951-Present

The Cleveland Indians baseball team has used this logo since 1951, nicknamed "Chief Wahoo". For obvious reasons, the logo has recieved criticism over the years due to the racist interpretation of a Native American. On January 29, 2018, the MLB and the Cleveland Indians announced the logo would no longer be used on stadium logos and uniforms starting in 2019, but the club will still be able to use the image for merchandise.

2. Detroit Tigers 1927-1928

This Detroit Tigers logo only lasted for one season for a good reason. It sort of looks like a 6 year old tried to draw a tiger and failed horribly. This is certainly one of the worst (and funniest) logos in history.

3. Philadelphia Athletics 1919-1920

I feel like the Philadelphia Athletics (now based in Oakland) didn't even try with this one. It seems like they just pulled someone off the street to draw a wobbly blue elephant with 5 appendages. Good thing it was only used for one season.

4. Boston Celtics 1949-1968

I'm not even sure what the man in this logo is supposed to be doing. Sitting? Jumping? Cheering? It's hard to believe the Boston Celtics used this awful logo for a whopping 19 seasons in the 40s, 50s, and 60s!

5. Phoenix Coyotes 1996-2003

This "coyote" looks like something from my nightmares. He's wearing some kind of creepy hockey mask, or else half his face has been ripped off, revealing the bone underneath. Either way, this is by far the most frightening logo I've ever seen.

6. Denver Nuggets 1974-1981

This guy, nicknamed "The Prospector", was the Denver Nuggets logo for 7 years in the 70s and 80s. This logo recieved criticism for the cartoon-like animation and boring colouring. The cheerful-looking miner wasn't necessarily going to strike fear into the hearts of opponents.

7. Cleveland Browns 1950-1969

This wimpy little imp, nicknamed "The Brownie" was the Cleveland Browns alternate logo from 1950-69. It was used on the shoulders of team jerseys and even on the office door of the team owner, Bill Veeck, in the 50s. Recently there has been a push to bring back the Brownie logo as an alternate logo for the team.

8. Milwaukee Bucks 1968-1993

This Milwaukee Bucks logo looks more like an image from some 60s Saturday morning cartoon than that of a professional sports team that was a perennial top 5 finisher in the Eastern Conference of the NBA. It's shocking to think this horrible logo was used into the 90s.

9. Tampa Bay Buccaneers 1976-1996

This charming pirate represented the Tampa Bay Buccaneers of the NFL for 20 years. He looks more like he wants to serve you a refreshing pina colada rather than play a hardcore game of football.

10. Boston Red Sox 1950-1959

This corny giant sock was the Boston Red Sox's logo for 9 years. I only have one question. How is a sock wearing a baseball cap?
