Volleyball is a team sport in which two teams of six players are separated by a net. Each team tries to score points by grounding a ball on the other team's court under organized rules. It has been a part of the official program of the Summer Olympic Games since 1964.
When the other team serves the ball over a good pass needs to be made in order to get the ball back over the net. A good pass needs to be high so the setter can get underneath the ball. A good pass is the first step to a good set and hit so passing the ball is very important. Before you pass the ball you have to call 'mine' so that your team mates know that you are going to pass the ball.
After the pass is made the setter gets ready to pop the ball up high enough for the hitter. To set a ball you need to use the tips of your finger to push the ball up high so the hitter has enough time to do their approach. The setter has an option to either set to the middle hitter or the outside hitter.
